About AKZERT

AKZERT is concerned with accreditation: the formal attestation that a conformity assessment body is competent, impartial and consistently operated for defined activities. The organisation is based in the Principality of Liechtenstein.

What this site is for

The site explains accreditation in measured terms, describes the standards that ordinarily frame it, and provides the places where AKZERT will publish verified information: a public directory, a document centre and a short record of approved updates.

Explanatory pages are educational. They describe the discipline. They are not a service catalogue, a fee schedule or a procedure with deadlines. Where AKZERT adopts an operational rule, that rule will appear as an approved document, with a reference, a revision and a date.

Until a particular has been verified, it is omitted. The legal notice lists the classes of particular that are still unpublished, including legal form, registered office and a monitored address for correspondence.

Accreditation, briefly

Conformity assessment is the demonstration that specified requirements are fulfilled. Laboratories, inspection bodies and certification bodies carry out that work and issue their own reports and certificates.

Accreditation is a statement about those bodies. It attests competence for the activities in a defined scope, together with impartiality and consistent operation. It is not a statement that every report the body will ever issue is correct, and it is not a certificate for a product, a system or a person.

The public value of accreditation depends on the scope being precise and on the record being available to the people who rely on the body’s work. The directory on this site is the place reserved for that record.

What a reader can do here

  • Read how an accreditation process is ordinarily structured, from enquiry to decision and on to surveillance.
  • Compare the technical fields and the standards that frame them.
  • Search the public directory, which displays a record only after verification.
  • See which governance and procedure documents have been published, and which remain placeholders.
  • Send an enquiry through the contact form. Delivery operates only when an endpoint has been configured.

Liechtenstein

Liechtenstein is the country in which AKZERT is based. That fact describes the organisation’s seat. It does not, by itself, describe a legal mandate, a public appointment or a territory in which AKZERT is the only body concerned with accreditation.

No street address is published, because none has been verified for this site. Correspondence is invited through the contact form. The form states clearly whether a message can be delivered.

Questions

Is AKZERT a national accreditation body?

This website does not make that claim. National accreditation body is a status that depends on appointment or recognition under a legal framework, and on the arrangements that follow from it. AKZERT will describe such a status only if verified evidence is available to publish.

Has AKZERT granted any accreditations?

Any accreditation AKZERT grants and approves for publication will appear in the public directory, with the legal entity, the number, the standard, the scope, the dates and the status. If the directory contains no records, no verified accreditation is currently published.

Where are the organisation’s registered details?

They are published on the legal notice when each field has been verified in the central configuration. Fields that are still unverified are named there as unpublished. They are not replaced with estimates.
