Acceso
Accesibilidad
The site is built so that a reader can reach, understand and use its information with a keyboard, with a screen reader, and without relying on colour or motion. This page describes that effort. It is not a certificate of conformity with a standard.
Measures in the present site
- Pages use headings in order, landmarks and a skip link to the content.
- The menu, the directory filters, the document filters and the contact form can be used from the keyboard.
- Focus is visible. The indicator is a solid navy outline on the white page.
- Body text uses the navy of the AKZERT mark on a white page. Gold is used for labels and rules.
- The process stages and the questions expand as disclosures with accessible names.
- Motion is limited, and the site respects a request for reduced motion.
- Images that carry meaning have a text alternative. Decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology where the adjacent text repeats them.
- The directory is a table on a wide screen and a list of the same records on a narrow screen, so the information is not trapped in a layout.
- The contact form reports errors at the top and against the field, and it does not claim that a message was sent when it was not.
Known limits
Photographs are illustrative. Their text alternatives describe the scene. They are not a substitute for the technical content, which is in the HTML.
Some source documents, when they are eventually published, may be files. Those files will need their own accessible text. A file will not be described as accessible until that has been checked.
The site aims at the level of WCAG 2.2 AA as a working target for design and development. That sentence is an intention. It is not an audit result, and no body is named as having certified the site.
Report a barrier
If a page blocks you, write through the contact form and choose Accessibility. Name the page and, if you can, the assistive technology or browser you used. The form will tell you whether the message can be delivered. If it cannot, the barrier has not reached AKZERT, and the same limit is stated in the privacy policy.
Preguntas
Is there an accessibility statement in a statutory form?
Public-sector accessibility statements follow rules that apply to the bodies those rules name. AKZERT does not claim to be a public-sector body. This page is the description of the website’s accessibility. It will be revised if the organisation’s legal position is verified as something that carries a further duty.
